A spring snowstorm sweeps across the forest, Monadliath mountains
I love the grainy texture in this from the snow clouds, as they swept in across the forest, and the misty effect disappearing into the distance. It doesn’t look very springlike, I admit, but that is what this week has been all about – lovely warm sunny spells interrupted by violent snow showers. Its the raw power of the elements!
There has been a series of ‘Coronal Mass Ejections’ (or CMEs) hitting Earth this week, from solar storms on the surface on the sun. These can play havoc with the earth’s magnetic field, which in turn affects our own electro-magnetic field. Those of us who are sensitive to this can feel the pressure!
There was a BBC Horizon programme this week which explored the origins of solar storms and the potential effects on our technological civilisation.
This week – more thoughts about the power of our choices and the space within from which we make them:
“Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space lies our freedom and power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and freedom.”
– Viktor Frankl (1905 – 1997)
“Right now, and in every now-moment, you are either closing or opening. You are either stressfully waiting for something – more money, security, affection – or you are living from your deep heart, opening as the entire moment, and giving what you most deeply desire to give, without waiting.”
– David Deida
