First crocus

Crocus bulb – the first colour of Spring

Its been a mild week with temperatures in the 10-15C range and some lovely sunny spells where it felt good just being able to sit outside comfortably.  There was also the annual ‘day of the frogs’ where the path to the loch was strewn with frogs sunning theselves on their migration to the water.  Today of course it was only just above freezing, with fresh snow on the hills and a bitter Northerly wind – it must be spring.

This week, two very short (and probably contradictory) quotes, but I like them! I think they say a lot about how our perceptions shape our experience of the world.

“Reality is frequently inaccurate”.

– Douglas Adams, ‘The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy’

“Do not fear mistakes – there are none”

– Miles Davis (jazz musician and composer)
