Birch, Craigellachie Lochan, on the edge of sunset
There has been some ferocious wind this last few days, but plenty of sun with it. I took this on friday at Craigellachie lochan, one of my favourite spots. The sun was setting behind the crags, putting the loch into shade, but leaving the trees brightly illuminated for a few minutes, giving a few minutes for creative play with the sun and its reflections on the water behind the trees.
“If we develop sensitivity with one form, there is the likelihood we can be sensitive to all forms. We would know, as well, why a friend is hurting, because we would listen, even if there are no words. We become people who live our greatest potential in every single moment, wherever we are placed.
When I became a good listener, it made me the greatest ‘giver’ of life; it allowed me to serve in the highest way. I became a station that was receiving something and sending it right out. When I came from that place, I became an instrument, simply a receiving station of the infinite void in that moment. I became a receiving station because I was completely present in the moment.”
