Loch an Eilein reflections

Sunset reflections, Loch an Eilein

After three weeks of rain ( spiced with sleet and hail showers just for variety) the clouds cleared for a weeekend of fabulous blue skies  revealing the shining snow covered hills – gleaming whiter than a toothpaste advert.  The air was simultaneously burning and freezing, decidely ‘baltic’ at times!  After a snowless winter, its a shock seeing the hills so plastered this late in the season.

I took an evening bike ride up to Loch an Eilein, for this view of the hills turning sunset pink on saturday evening.

“Occasionally in life there are those moments of unutterable fulfillment which cannot be completely explained by those symbols called words. Their meanings can only be articulated by the inaudible language of the heart.”

– Martin Luther King, Jr.

“Of course, one could say that the world is vibration – it is true, and everybody says so.  But it isn’t precise enough.  From the standpoint of physics, there are billions of different possible vibrations.  But the cosmos – the universe – chooses from these billions of posibilities with overwhelming preference for those few thousand vibrations that make harmonic sense (and, that means musical sense). This is true of almost all proportions in the cosmos – planetary orbits, DNA genes, the shapes of leaves and crystals, the proportions in the periodic table, body forms, the quanta of the atomic nucleus, electron spins…”

– Joachim Ernst Berendt’ “The World is Sound : Nada Brahma”
