Autumn Hills

Autumn hils and early snow, Cairngorms, Scotland

Autumn colours and early snow, Cairngorms, from Torr Alvie

An image from this week last year, on a day of sunshine and frost with the larch glowing bright orange across Rothiemurchus, and early winter snow on the Cairngorms behind.  The photo is taken from the mysterious wee hill of Torr Alvie, which is covered in an ancient Caledonian forest remnant of mixed Pine, Birch and Juniper, making for a tapestry of colours, textures and energies.

I don’t know where autumn has gone this year – suddenly the days are short and most of the leaves have gone.  But, these glowing colours and natural places hopefully bring a smile and a bit of joy.  Anything that does this boosts your heart’s energetic function, which is essential in protecting us from the negative energies surrounding us in the world.

“… Bentov detected and recorded small bodily movements that occurred when subjects were meditating.  These micromotions, as he called them, increased when meditative awareness increased.  He discovered that these motions in the body began with a standing wave in the aorta, the largest artery of the body.   Bentov showed that at a certain point, a meditator’s heart rate, respiratory rate, and descent of the diaphragm interrelate to create this aortic motion.  The entire body, even the skull, starts to move in the same rhythm, producing magnetic fields above the head.

At some point, the brain begins to circulate an electrical current in both hemispheres, creating two pulsing magnetic fields in opposing polarities around the head.  These pulse in harmony with the surrounding world.  Essentially, the meditator has now formed an energetic antenna above his or her head that integrates into the geomagnetic force field of the earth, and the universe at large.

The suggestion is that kundalini, as the state of super-consciousness, is really a magnetic and bioelectrical attunement with the universe.  Our bodies really are instruments for tuning to the universe.”

– Cyndi Dale, ‘Kundalini’
