Frost needles on birch twig
As I write this we have an inch of fluffy snow, on top of a layer of ice. There was one morning during the week when we had sunshine and a crisp blue sky, with these needles of ice sprouting from every blade of grass and twig. After an hour the mist came in and stayed for the rest of the day, so I was glad to have taken the opportunity to get out and enjoy the sparkle for a few minutes.
“Emotions don’t define us, they simply point to our perceptions and beliefs at any given moment. They’re like barometers that measure our understandings of ourselves and our lives, but they are not who we are. Let yours point the way to patterns in your thoughts and beliefs.”
– Mike Dooley, ‘Infinite Possibilities’
Lovely photo – shows that winter is a season that brings its own particular beauty to us.
