Wood Anenomes, Craigellachie Birch Wood, Aviemore
This week, Spring happened… Here in the Highlands it was a stunning five days of constant sun with hardly the faintest puff of white cloud the whole time. The mornings started icy, the air during the day being that clarity of simultaneously burning and freezing which we can get at this time of year. Switching between t-shirt and fleeces…
Spring has come on a pace, with the birch woods turning to leaf during the week, and a carpet of wood anenomes beneath them, soaking up the sun.
I really like this zen-like snippet from Rumi. Take the time (this moment) to stop, tune into yourself, breathe with awareness of your body, and accept yourself, your situation. Don’t try! I think that acceptance is the key.
“This Silence. This Moment.
If it’s genuinely inside you,
brings what you need.”
- Rumi, ‘Like This’, translated by Coleman Barks
